highly doubt serious emotional issues are as easy to fix as “1, 2, 3..”

ridiculous how many 1000s of therapies…..is there any one that actually works?

All that happened was she traded one coping mechanism for another!!

So she’s been programmed with an obsessive compulsion. LOL

Way to “cure” her.

come on man you didnt do a thing, she came in saying she counted to 10 already… you took some notes and did some well formed outcomes when you could have done a whole lot more… some collapsing anchors, some trance work, behaviour gen, future pace…..

voice over sounds like a bag woman reading a cue card (no offence to the lady in question, i am sure she is a wonderful person)……come on, we are trying to get the world to recognise NLP as a legitimate science, so i think a bit more effort in video production wouldn’t go amiss

I have watched two other videos on NLP and I thought this one was not only boring , but pointless.

Poor Annie is still going to be counting to ten. I think what she was hoping for was to not have to experience the impatience in the first place. I think she needs to listen to what her impatience is telling her, and make some needed changes in her life.

Normally I’m a visual learner as well, but for me the off camera narration was less distracting for some reason.

So she says, well I do try to count to 10 she laughs nervously and her body language screams I have no idea, youve given me nothing to work withwatch her eyes when he first asks the question, micro-expression of surprise mixed with doubt. This is a good video of what not to do. You cant just read a script and expect this to work. The presenter needs to learn the craft before professing to have NLP skills.

This is not an example of NLP at all, its just a questioning session. He completely missed that she is kinesthetic; he uses no meta language patterns, no mirroring, anchoring, etc. He asks at first what she does to try and be patient, she says “I have tried to count to 10″ indicating that hasn’t worked. He gives her no technique to work with and at end asks, what will be your first step to become patient – she has no idea…

johnnytheprick – what’s wrong with the presentation? Seems pretty good.

actually, it’s not… this is just basic NLP (which was used by clever people before NLP, may be even before people could say halleluyah :o ))

He uses questions which make her think herself, he forms them in a way which make her commit to do something and he taught her a simple yet very powerful method to grow patience…

I don’t care how it looks, I care for results… from my experience, I can imagine her being much better off now then she was before
